Privacy Policy

ODIN'S EYE, LLC

Applies to our iOS apps MyOwnScanner and Enough?, and to this website.

Last Updated: June 11, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how ODIN'S EYE, LLC ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use our iOS applications — currently MyOwnScanner and Enough? (each, an "App") — and when you visit this website. Our apps are built privacy-first: your documents and financial data are stored on your device and never transmitted to us. We collect no personal information through our apps. By using an App, you agree to this policy.

  1. 1Scope of This Policy

This policy covers every iOS app published by ODIN'S EYE, LLC on the Apple App Store, including MyOwnScanner and Enough?, as well as this website. If a future app's data practices differ, its App Store listing and an updated version of this policy will say so explicitly.

  2. 2The Short Version

    • We collect no personal information of any kind through our apps.
    • No accounts — our apps do not require or create user accounts.
    • No analytics, usage data, crash reporting, or advertising SDKs.
    • No tracking, no advertising identifiers, no data sale — ever.
    • Everything you create in our apps stays on your device unless you choose to export, share, or back it up.

Our App Store privacy labels state "Data Not Collected" — and this policy is the long-form explanation of why that is accurate.

  3. 3Information We Collect

    None. Specifically:

    • No identifiers: we do not collect your name, email address, phone number, device identifiers, or any other personally identifiable information.
    • No usage or diagnostic data: we do not collect app usage logs, analytics events, crash reports, or performance data — automatically or otherwise.
    • No location, contacts, or browsing data.
    • No data from Apple frameworks: we do not read data from Apple Health, iCloud, or other system services.

Our apps function entirely standalone. They do not connect to our servers — we do not operate any servers that receive user data.

  4. 4Information You Store in Our Apps

The content you create belongs to you and stays on your device:

MyOwnScanner: document scans, imported photos and PDFs, text produced by on-device text recognition, folder organization, and anything you place in the private Vault are stored exclusively in the app's local storage on your device. Nothing is uploaded or transmitted to us or anyone else by default.

Enough?: the financial information you enter — assets, income, spending, inflation and return assumptions, retirement ages, survivor and legacy assumptions, future events, saved scenarios, comparison sets, and documents in the app's vault — is stored exclusively on your device. All plan calculations, "Show Math" tables, and Need analyses are computed locally. We never see your financial information.

  5. 5Device Permissions and Why We Request Them

Our apps request only the iOS permissions needed for features you choose to use. Each permission is requested at first use, is optional, and can be revoked at any time in iOS Settings without losing access to the rest of the app.

    • Camera (MyOwnScanner): used solely to scan documents. Images are processed and stored on your device. The camera is never accessed in the background.
    • Photo Library (MyOwnScanner): used solely to import the photos you select. We use the iOS picker, which shares only the specific items you choose.
    • Face ID / Touch ID (both apps, optional Vault Lock): if you enable Vault Lock, authentication is performed by Apple's LocalAuthentication framework. Biometric data is managed entirely by iOS and the Secure Enclave — it is never available to us or to our apps, and we never store it. You may use an app password instead.
    • Files access (both apps): used only when you explicitly import or export documents, backups, or reports through the iOS document picker or share sheet.
  6. 6On-Device Processing

Text recognition (OCR) in MyOwnScanner is performed with Apple's on-device Vision framework. All financial modeling in Enough? — including compound-growth projections, run-out age, target rate of return, and maximum spending calculations — runs locally on your device. No content is sent to cloud services for processing.

  7. 7Exports, Backups, and Sharing You Initiate

    • You may export documents as PDFs or images (MyOwnScanner) and reports as text, PDF, or Excel files (Enough?). Exports exist only where you choose to save or send them.
    • Encrypted backup and restore tools let you create a backup file protected with encryption before it leaves the app. You choose where the backup is stored. We never receive a copy and cannot decrypt or recover it for you — keep your backup credentials safe.
    • If you save exports or backups to a third-party service (e.g., iCloud Drive, Dropbox, or email), that service's privacy policy applies to the copy you placed there. We are not responsible for the practices of services you choose.
  8. 8Data Sharing and Disclosure

We share nothing, because we hold nothing:

    • We do not sell, rent, trade, or disclose user data — there is no user data in our possession to disclose.
    • Our apps contain no third-party analytics, advertising, or social SDKs.
    • We use no data brokers and no third-party processors for app data.
    • Because we hold no user data, we have nothing to produce in response to legal requests concerning app content.
  9. 9App Store Purchases

Our apps are sold through the Apple App Store. All payment processing is handled by Apple; we never receive your payment details, billing address, or Apple ID information. Apple provides us only with aggregated, anonymized sales statistics. For details on how Apple handles purchase data, see Apple's Privacy Policy.

  10. 10Tracking and Advertising

We do not track you. Our apps do not access the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA), do not engage in cross-app or cross-site tracking as defined by Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework, and therefore never display the ATT permission prompt. There are no ads in our apps.

  11. 11Data Retention and Deletion

Because all data lives on your device, retention and deletion are entirely in your hands:

    • Retention: your content is retained on your device only for as long as you keep it. We retain nothing on any server.
    • Deletion in-app: you can delete individual documents, scans, scenarios, or vault items at any time from within each app, or clear all app data from the app's settings.
    • Deleting the app from your device permanently removes all of its local data.
    • Backups you created are under your control — delete them from wherever you stored them.
    • Withdrawing consent: you may revoke any permission (camera, photos, Face ID, files) at any time in iOS Settings, and stop all use of the apps by deleting them. Since we collect nothing, no further action is needed on our side to "forget" you.
  12. 12Data Security

Your content is protected by iOS Data Protection, which encrypts app data when your device is locked. The optional Vault Lock adds Face ID or app-password protection inside MyOwnScanner, and backups are encrypted before they leave the app. No security measure is infallible — we recommend protecting your device with a passcode and keeping iOS up to date. Our apps are consumer tools and are not HIPAA-covered services.

  13. 13Your Privacy Rights

Privacy laws such as the EU/UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and similar laws grant rights to access, correct, delete, and port personal data, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. Because we do not collect, process, sell, or share any personal data through our apps, there is nothing held by us to access, delete, or port — you already have complete control of your data on your device. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising privacy rights. If you believe we hold any information about you (for example, an email you sent us), contact us and we will address it promptly.

  14. 14Children's Privacy

Our apps are not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since our apps collect no personal information from anyone, no child's personal information is collected even if a child uses them. If you are a parent or guardian with concerns, please contact us.

  15. 15International Users

Your data stays on your device wherever you are in the world. We perform no cross-border data transfers because we perform no data transfers at all. This policy follows the principle of data minimization in its strongest form: zero collection.

  16. 16This Website

This website is a static site. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts. If you use the contact form, the name, email address, and message you submit are delivered to us by our form processor, Formspree, Inc. (see the Formspree Privacy Policy), and are used solely to respond to your inquiry — never for marketing, and never shared or sold. Our hosting providers may keep standard, short-lived server logs (such as IP addresses) for security and operational purposes, as virtually all web hosting does.

  17. 17Changes to This Policy

If our practices change, we will update this policy, revise the "Last Updated" date above, and — for material changes affecting an app — provide notice in that app or in its App Store release notes before the change takes effect. The current version will always be available at this page.
